Barra is excited to support a wonderful event - and a one-of-a-kind dining experience - on Sunday evening, August 23, 2009, at Alexis Bailly Vineyard, Hastings, MN -- to honor Ruth Murphy and the Community Design Center of Minnesota for all they have done and are doing for our community.  The event marks 40 years of Ruth's amazing creativity and dedication to making our cities more beautiful and humane places to live.

Press Release:

On the 23rd, Cooks of Crocus Hill is creating a South Carolina "low country shrimp boil," a casual, role up your sleeves and dig in menu to enjoy in the beautiful Bailly vineyard, accompanied by traditional Irish music by our favorite Irish band, Barra.

The cost per person is $100, which will go toward helping the Community Design Center continue its important work through its Children's Gardens and CSA programs, its Youth Conservation Corps, nutrition and cooking classes, and empowering kids to better their communities and their lives.

You can sign up for the event on line at www.cdcmn.org   Please spread the word, and feel free to invite others!
